4 absolute maximum ratings [1] parameter unit value storage temperature c C65 to +125 maximum rf input power to tx ports dbm +33 maximum recommended operating conditions [2] parameter unit value operating temperature, tc [3] , tx power 29 dbm c C40 to +100 operating temperature, tc [3] , tx power 30 dbm c C40 to +85 notes: 1. operation in excess of any one of these conditions may result in permanent damage to the device. 2. the device will function over the recommended range without degradation in reliability or permanent change in performance, but is not guaranteed to meet electrical specifi cations. 3. t c is defi ned as case temperature, the temperatur e of the bottom mounting surface of the quadplexer where it makes contact with the circuit board. applications information the ACFM-7107 quadplexer has a single antenna con- nection common to the both the cellular and pcs band duplexers. operation a two-element series-l, shunt-c network is used to match the impedance of the ant port to 50 ohms as shown in figure 1. matching components the nominal values for l and c shown here were selected to match the ACFM-7107 to 50 ohms. since every appli- cation is diff erent, these nominal values may need to be adjusted to provide the best impedance match for the users particular circuit board, performance requirements, and interface to related components. the l and c matching components should be located in close proximity to the quadplexer as shown in the recom- mended pcb layout. the maximum tolerance for the matching components should be 5% for the inductor and 0.2 pf for the capacitor. the inductor should be of the high q type (e.g., murata lqw15an5n1d00d). figure 1. typical application. system ant 5.1 nh 1.0 pf ant cell tx pcs rx port 4 port 1 port 3 cell rx port 5 pcs tx port 2
